Overview
Ongo is a desktop smart lamp from InteractionLabs for users who want ambience control and light interaction in their workspace. Beyond lighting, it uses environment sensing, memory, and motion expression so a desk device can respond to user state and daily rhythm; the site currently shows a preorder stage. Place Ongo on the desk and it senses surroundings, adjusts light and behavior, and remembers small habits you care about. Dim lights for focus and a quiet mood; vision runs on-device; a magnetic light-blocking cover can hide the lens. Versus ordinary desk lamps, Ongo emphasizes characterful companionship and privacy. Core features Environment sensing and behavior response: sense desk environment and daily rhythm, adjust behavior, and respond with light and motion. Memory and personalized interaction: remember small things you care about and gradually learn habits and preferences. Focus lighting and ambience: lower brightness for deep focus and create a calm desk mood with light changes. On-device visual privacy: vision is processed locally and not sent out; snap on an opaque magnetic cover when needed. Who it is for People who work or study long hours at a desk and want ambient companionship. Fans of anthropomorphic smart hardware and emotional interaction. Users who care about camera privacy and local vision. Early users open to new desktop hardware.
