Guangnian Zhiwai provides AI services with a mission to achieve safe AGI benefiting humanity and build a Chinese OpenAI. Founded early in year 23 by Wang Huiwen, billionaire co-founder of Meituan, the Chinese food delivery and local services group. His announcement in month 2 drew local media attention. Meituan co-founder and then-CEO Wang Xing said in month 3 that he was investing. A major backer is Source Code Capital, whose founding partner Cao Yi previously invested in Meituan. In year 23, month 4, acquired Beijing OneFlow Technology, a six-year-old Chinese deep-learning startup, to bring in staff and begin developing its own generative AI models.
