# Douchat

Douchat is a desktop AI workbench for developers and heavy AI users that lets you chat with multiple AI models and local Agents in one interface. It mainly solves the problem of models, Agents, and history being scattered across apps and terminals, so users can organize AI collaboration like instant messaging. In the workbench pick compatible cloud models or connect local Agent CLIs already on the computer such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, OpenCode, Cursor, and Kimi. Each Agent can have its own role instructions, tools, chats, and group relations; chat history defaults to local storage—fit for long-term keep and revisit of task context.
