Overview
Pocket Chef, your smart cooking helper! The Pocket Chef iOS APP is live! (tap to open) - rebuilt interaction, plus many practical shortcuts the mini program lacked. Do you also cook while trying to scrub a progress bar with wet hands? So I built a mini program & APP (new) for friends with that pain—and myself—Pocket Chef. [What it is] A personal recipe app with smart features: paste a cooking video link and auto-parse into a recipe with step images; when you find recipe inspiration, hand photos and ideas to Little Chef and get a detailed recipe with action shots. Let cooking lovers stop screenshotting ingredients and scrubbing timelines. [Smart features] 01 video-to-recipe in one click: goodbye scrubbing. My favorite feature—when you see a dish on Xiaohongshu, Douyin, or Bilibili, copy the link, open Pocket Chef, and give it to Little Chef. AI recognizes the video and extracts: recipe basics (name, intro), precise ingredient lists (grams, spoons—clear at a glance), and step-by-step detail. Best part? It not only extracts text—it auto-captures the matching action frame from the video. For a step like frying shrimp oil, the frame sits above the step text.
