Shennong Alpha is an AI-driven natural-medicine knowledge platform from Westlake University's Shennong Program, for natural medicines, Chinese materia medica, and TCM knowledge exploration and research. It integrates the Shennong knowledge base and search engine; users can retrieve structured information on herbs, species origins, medicinal parts, and processing methods, get related knowledge via natural-language dialogue, complete standardized Chinese–English translation and natural-medicine systematic name construction, and submit new knowledge for platform review. [Core features] Multi-path knowledge retrieval: graph search, vector search, and global search—disambiguate by term relations, or enter full sentences, paragraphs, or approximate spellings to retrieve natural medicines and related knowledge. Natural-medicine dialogue: Shennong Chat combines the knowledge base and search engine for natural-language questions on natural medicines, Chinese materia medica, and TCM—suited to daily learning and material exploration. Chinese–English standard translation: Shennong Translate, based on the NMT-CPT algorithm, provides standardized CN↔EN translation for natural-medicine content; users can switch direction, view text, and add custom renderings. Systematic name construction: following natural-medicine systematic naming and related algorithms, combine species origin, medicinal part, special descriptions, and processing methods to auto-build systematic names and view construction hints.
