Xingyao code (Xingyao / Y-Code) is an open-source AI coding partner that runs on your own machine. It is not a chat box but a teammate that can act: read your project, edit across files, run commands, execute tests, and keep your preferences as long-term memory. Terminal TUI and GUI share one core engine; fully open under MIT. Core highlights — Real execution, not only advice: 29 built-in tools—file I/O, code search (ripgrep), command run, web fetch, symbol lookup, text-to-image, and more—so AI finishes work in your workspace.
