Holds a doctorate from Zhejiang University and is a serial entrepreneur with more than two decades in video. Co-founded Qianyi Video as partner and CTO in 2014; it was later acquired by Kingsoft Cloud. Led development of the H.265/HEVC encoder QY265, later Kingsoft HEVC, which won multiple first places in global competitions over consecutive years. Former algorithm director at Kingsoft Cloud, leading R&D in video encoding and decoding, image processing, real-time audio and video, and video plus AI, and opening new directions in video cloud services. Co-chair of LiveVideoStack, described as China’s largest audio and video community. Has served major internet video companies including Tencent, Baidu, Toutiao, Kuaishou, NetEase and Huya for many years.
