Earned a doctorate in Tsinghua University’s Department of Electronic Engineering in 2015. Previously led Huawei’s large-model engineering team and was chief reinforcement learning scientist at grade 21, its youngest AI laboratory director and research institute director. Incubated intelligent driving at Huawei from 0 to 1 and led mass production of ADS 2.0, its first intelligent driving product independent of high-definition maps. Area chair at robotics conference CoRL20/21.
