# OpenAI exceeds USD 40 billion annualized revenue; enterprise revenue overtakes consumer revenue for the first time

On 2026/8/15, IT Home reported that US company OpenAI had exceeded USD 40 billion in annualized revenue, with enterprise revenue overtaking consumer revenue for the first time. CFO Sarah Friar told shareholders that enterprise revenue in month 7 grew 32% month over month and consumer revenue grew 20%.
